OUR MISSION
Seniors Supporting/Apoyando Abuelitos is a new organization founded to raise funds for the purchase and distribution of non-perishable food for the Seniors/Abuelitos in the Rosarito Community of Baja California.
These seniors subsist on a government pension of $2,400 MX pesos every two months ($61.00 USD monthly).
Our Organization collaborates with a Civil Association, Pasado Presente (Salvador Ochoa)
to distribute food to community centers where the seniors gather.

Seniors Supporting / Apoyando Abuelitos es una nueva organización fundada para recaudar fondos para comprar alimentos para personas mayores en el área de Rosarito en Baja California.
Estas personas mayores subsisten con una pensión del gobierno de $ 2,400 pesos cada dos meses ($61 dolares mensuales). La organización colabora con una Asociación Civil, Pasado Presente (Salvador Ochoa) para distribuir alimentos a los centros comunitarios donde se reúnen las personas mayores.

Making A Difference
Seniors Supporting Seniors is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for individuals and communities.
SSA (Seniors Supporting Abuelitos)
We were introduced to Salvador Ochoa in July of 2018. I was told by our Mexican contact that we Americans were very generous & admirable helping Orphanages, Children, Dogs & Horses. However there was a great need that was not being met. He went on to explain they are the Abuelito community. Some of them receive a small pension from the Mexican government, currently its $2600. pesos every other month. that's an equivalent of $144. USD for 2 months. We verified this number and found it to be true. Sadly, many Seniors were and are struggling to put food on their table.
Many do not receive a government pension, making their situation all the more dire.
At the time I was teaching Pilates, I had a group of about 8 women coming to class and asked if they would consider helping me do a fundraiser for the Abuelitos. Their
response was ABSOLUTELY!
• So we threw a Fiesta and charged people to come. It was a successful event in that everyone had a great time & we raised the funds needed for our first distribution. In December the same team of about 10 came together and helped bag over 3 Tons of non-perishable food items. We chose December 9th 2018. Along with my Husband & awesome Amigas we gave out 300 12lb. bags of non-perishable food items to our Abuelito Community.
This was the beginning of our Organization, Seniors Supporting Abuelitos.
